Holy Trinity Book Group

Calling all book lovers! We are running a Book Group on the first Thursday of every month. As a church family we are all at different points in our faith journey and the aim of the book group is to discuss works which support, enrich, and sometimes challenge our faith outside of our weekly services.

Holy Trinity Book Group – next book!

We have held some brilliant book club sessions so far and we are looking forward to a year of great reading ahead!

If you weren’t able to make the group in 2020 and are still interested in taking part, we would love to see you at the next session which will take place on Thursday 21st January at 8.30pm via video call.  If you would like to join the group, send us a note at bookgroup@httchurch.org so that we can include you on the roundups and also send us any questions you might have. We want the book group to be inclusive, thought-provoking and above all enjoyable!

The next book in our series is Donald Miller’s memoir, Blue Like Jazz. Widely regarded as a cornerstone of Christian non fiction, this uplifting and hopeful memoir charts one man’s journey away from and back to God.

Laura Taylor and Adam Smith would like anyone who is interested to please email bookgroup@httchurch.org so that we can have a good idea of numbers for planning the logistics. If this is your first book group, don’t worry, we will be sharing some top tips and thought-starters with you to aid your reading.

During this troubled time for the high street, please do consider purchasing a copy from local booksellers Canaan Christian Ministries in Staines here or through Waterstones in Twickenham. If you prefer reading an ebook, do consider using Amazon Smile to make a small donation to the church. If you have any questions at all, please do contact us and we look forward to reading with you!
